LATEST | 27-year-old right-handed defenseman available for free: Allvin on the lookout?
A new name has landed on the waiver wire to start the week according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
In a post on X on Monday afternoon, Friedman revealed that the Philadelphia Flyers have placed defenceman Louie Belpedio on waivers for the purpose of assigning him to the American Hockey League.
"Belpedio (PHI) on waivers" Friedman said.
Belpedio, 27, has appeared in 12 games this season for the Philadelphia Flyers where he's put up four points (two goals, two assists), no penalty minutes and is a plus-six.
If Belpedio clears waivers on Tuesday afternoon, he'll be assigned to the American Hockey League's Lehigh Valley Phantoms, where he's already skated in five game this season.
