LATEST | An announcement regarding the Canucks has been made: It says a lot about this team's talents
The Vancouver Canucks are off to a solid start to their season. The team is 2-1-0 and has played well for most of the three games.
Bleacher Report has ranked them #9 in their power rankingsa massive jump from the 23rd rank they had to begin their season.
The Canucks played two games against Connor McDavid and the Oilers. The Canucks played well and managed to outscore the Oilers, who are known for their scoring, 12-4. Game 3 was a challenging game for Canucks, who played against the Flyers, where they only mustered 26 shots and were shut out by Carter Hart.
The silver lining to that game is the excellent play of Thatcher Demko. Demko made 40 saves on 42 shots. Through 2 games, Demko has played outstanding, making 61 saves on 64 images. If the Canucks get consistent goaltending from Demko, they will be a solid team.
The Canucks take on the Tampa Bay Lightning to continue their successful start to the season.
