LATEST | Bold statement on Quinn Hughes: Playing himself into the league's very best
It was a bit of a milestone night for Vancouver Canucks forward Quinn Hughes as the team took on the San Jose Sharks.
During the 3-1 win over San Jose, Hughes recorded a goal and an assist to become the first player in the National Hockey League this season to reach the 30-point plateau.
On Tuesday's edition of Halford and Brough, the pair discussed the possibility of Quinn Hughes being in contention for the Hart Trophy this season as the league's MVP.
"He's honestly maybe the best player in the #NHL right now. You can make a very decent argument that he's a Hart Trophy candidate."
There's no question that if he's able to continue playing this well over the course of the season, and there's no sign of him slowing down, then he could absolutely be in contention for the Hart Trophy, likely alongside his teammate Elias Pettersson.
