Speculation was rampant after forward Conor Garland was absent from practice on Tuesday.
Garland has been reportedly available all season long as the Canucks seek to add a defenseman and some more wiggle room underneath the salary cap, even allowing Garland and his camp to seek out a trade on his behalf early in the season.
Fans were quick to assume a Garland absence pointed towards a trade materializing, however a follow up post from Sportsnet's Randip Janda states that it was just a personal day for the winger.
The Canucks are gearing up for a three game road trip starting in Colorado tomorrow night.
Garland, who has 5 points in 19 games, is expected to be in the lineup.
