LATEST | Canucks issue a release on top prospect Jonathan Lekkerimaki
The Canucks were excited by the opportunity of drafting the Swede Jonathan Lekkerimaki during the 2022 Draft.
After a below-average draft +1 season, the winger was electric during the Allsvenkan's playoffs, and his hot streak carried over to the SHL, where he's got nine goals in 21 games.
In light of the Building Blue program, the Canucks highlighted their top prospect upfront and looked at what made his game special:
«It's not a shot you see every day. The way it comes off the stick, between defencemen's legs in stride... it's not only the release, but he picks corners."
Allvin inked Lekkerimaki to his entry-level contract last summer, and it's only a matter of time before this exciting forward crosses to North America.
