LATEST | Hurricanes' Head Coach gives brutally honest in game interview: Scorches his players
The Hurricanes are currently taking a beating against the Oilers, and their Head Coach, Rod Brind'Amour, is having absolutely none of it. Viewed as one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference, the Canes' season debut and, more recently, how they've started the game against Edmonton do not represent what they expect.
Brind'Amour was called upon for an ''On the Bench' interview and rip into his team:
"We're on our way to losing 50-0 now. I've never seen our team play this brutal. At this point, I'm at a loss for words, to be quite honest. We weren't ready to start, that was clear."
Despite their lousy outing against the Oilers, the Canes have done quite well since the season started. They currently occupy the 5th seeding in the Eastern Conference with a 14-9-1 record before tonight's matchup.
