LATEST | Important development regarding Ethan Bear's return: Five teams in the running
he is The former Canuck defenceman is nearing a return, and many teams have started contacting his agent.
Bear got injured at the World Championship, and the Canucks opted not to renew his contract because of it. Both the Canucks and Ethan Bear have made it clear that they'd like to reunite, but the latest reports suggest that Allvin will not be the only one to court the Defenseman.
On insider trading earlier today, the NHL insider Chris Johnston revealed that five teams had shown their interest in his services:
'The Capitals are keenly interested in Ethan Bear, they're a team to watch, the Canucks, Leafs, Devils and Penguins have shown interest as well.''
The Canucks defensive woes have been apparent every time they've played against high-end offensive teams and their right side is somehting that needs adressing. In an era where cap space is everything, Allvin can't afford to get involved in a bidding war, but the opportunity to add a Defenseman who can potentially play a top4 role, without spending any assets, may be an opportunity to good to pass up on.
We'll keep you updated on Ethan Bear's return to the NHL.
