LATEST | Former first-rounder on waivers: An option for the Canucks?
After being claimed off waivers by Nashville two months ago, a former first-rounder is going back on the wire.
According to Nashville Predators head coach Andrew Brunette, 23-year-old Liam Foudy is going on waivers and they're hoping he'll clear and remain with the organization.
"Tough coming in when we already have guys as the extra [player]. He brings speed and I'd like to see him go down there and get a little more finish and a little stronger. If he clears, I'm really excited to have him in the organization. I really like the kid and I really like his speed." Brunette said.
The Scarborough, Ontario native was picked 18th overall by the Columbus Blue Jackets back in 2018 and then was claimed off waivers in October by Nashville.
In 12 games with the Predators this season, Foudy has three assists, two penalty minutes and is a minus-two.
