As any other NHL franchise does, the Canucks have had their fair share of injuries since they opened up their training camp.

MANY IMPORTANT NAMES SIDELINED

The Canucks had quite the scare when Carson Soucy left Friday's game with a bad knee. Tocchet wasn't réassurant in his post-game interview, but today he revealed that he was considered week-to-week, which 'should mean that it's nothing too serious.

Ilya Mikheyev has skated on a line today during drills. He was, however, still wearing a red 'non-contact' jersey. Mikheyev missed about half of last season and was expected to be ready for training camp. There is still no certainty that he'll be prepared to go on Wednesday for the Home Opener.

Anthony Beauvilier and Teddy Blueger missed practice; Beau was fighting the flu, while Tocchet forced out Blueger since he managed a pretty good bruise after blocking a shot on Friday.

Now the Canucks are opening the regular season on Wednesday at the Rogers Arena. The team's official roster has not yet been confirmed; with today's trade, we should expect more roster movement.
