With the NHL's trade deadline less than two months away, things are expected to get pretty busy in the coming weeks and the Vancouver Canucks are hoping to be involved in a deal or two.

Patrik Allvin and the Canucks have made plenty of moves since training camp and now their target is a top-six forward, preferably a second-line centerman, according to John Shannon.

Shannon was a guest on 'Sekeres & Price' and mentioned that the Canucks will be looking for a second-line centerman ahead of the deadline on March 8th and said that he's unsure if they'll take a look at Elias Lindholm of the Calgary Flames.

"They've always known they need a second-line centre, they've known it for a long time in Vancouver. I'm not sure it's Lindholm, though...you have to go scour the other teams...who's out there?" John Shannon said.

There will be plenty of players that can be in the Canucks' top-six that Patrik Allvin could target leading up to March 8th. They've already been linked to Jake Guentzel of the Pittsburgh Penguins, but Elias Lindholm could be an option, potentially even Sean Monahan of the Montreal Canadiens.

If Allvin wants a long-term solution and not just a rental, a big name he could target is Trevor Zegras of the Anaheim Ducks, who may be available in a move, but will likely come with an astronomical cost.
