LATEST | J.T. Miller opens up about his in-game emotions: The passion of a winner?
J.T. Miller has been a big piece of the Vancouver Canucks since being acquired in a trade from Tampa Bay in 2019. The physical Center has a very unique play style, a gritty game with very strong offensive capabilities.
Miller uses his emotions as a way to fuel his game. In an interview on Sportsnet650, hosted by Mike Halford and Jason Brough, Miller spoke about his emotions on the ice.
Miller said "I think there's this constant guilt with showing your emotions. I just feel like it's not always a bad thing. I show mine more than others, I think that's what makes me a good player..."
Miller mostly uses his emotions in a positive way but frustrations can get the best of him at times. In a game last season against the Jets, Miller yelled at Colin Delia as the goalie was unsure as to when he should leave his net for an extra attacker.
The Canucks will need Miller to use his emotions in a positive way to fuel him. If Miller can continue to do this, the Canucks will be in a great position through out the season.
