LATEST | Nineteen forwards on the ice today: Big names shine with their absence
The Canucks held their second skate together ahead of the 2023-2024 campaign's kick off. It's nice to see that the boys have started to get together in order to send things off on the right foot.
Today' Tocchet had the forwards out all at the same time, the list featured NHLers like J.T. Miller, Andrei Kuzmenko and Brock Boeser. Few players from Abbotsford were also out there, youngsters that aren't expected to be at the team's rookie camp. Here's the list:
However, it's actually those who weren't present that shine by their absence. The team's newest acquisition, Pius Suter, was a notable absentee, but the superstar and captain in contention has yet to be seen in Vancouver.
Pettersson has since attracted some criticism due to his absence; we'll wait for further information before commenting on the subject.
On the positive side of things, Kuzmenko was caught working on his �'bumper-game'', which used to be Bo Horvat's spot. The Canucks have yet to find his successor on the first power play unit, and this may be an indicator of who Tocchet wants:
