LATEST | Quinn Hughes' post-game comments show what's entirely different within this new era
The Canucks weren't messing around in their second home game on Friday Night. The St. Louis Blues were out here and witnessed the emergence of an elite-level team. Rick Tocchet's men played with a united mind and fetched a 5-0 shootout in front of their fans.
NEW MENTALITY IN THE LOCKER ROOM MAKING THE DIFFERENCE?
The team captain, Quinn Hughes, was again electric, scoring two goals and the game's first star. It's clear that his new leadership role fits him and transpires onto the rest of the team.
As the game's first star, the captain delivered his thoughts on the game, and his response shows how much the mentality in the locker room has changed:
Quinn Hughes: " we got a little sloppy in the third, but we're going in the right direction."
I love this never-completely-satisfied mentality from the Canucks captain."
Despite the team having a dominant outing, Hughes still mentioned that he wasn't satisfied with certain parts of their game and that clearly shows the making of a champion.
Now back in Vancouver, the Canucks will have another opportunity to show how much they've changed as the New York Rangers are in town for a Saturday Night Matchup. The Canucks are going back-to-back, and if they come out the way they have in yesterday's game, the Rangers don't stand a chance.
