Patrik Allvin made it an objective to add a true third line centerman to his roster and he came up big when he agreed on contracts for Pius Suter and Teddy Blueger.
The latter is coming from an oustanding playoffs performance with the Golden Knights that ended in a Stanley Cup. Blueger is known for his two-way game and his ability to kill penalties which is precisely what the Canucks needed.
The experienced centerman gave his first impressions on the team and Allvin may be on the right track:
«It seems like a great group. It has been good to get on the ice and kind of try to get the legs going a bit before camp There's a lot of really great players.»
Blueger really took a bet on himself with the Canucks inking a one-year deal worth $1.8M. The centerman had 16 points in 63 games.
