Vancouver Canucks Head Coach Rick Tocchet met with reporters in St. Louis on Thursday ahead of the team's game against the Blues.

During his media availability, Tocchet confirmed that Thatcher Demko would be getting the start between the pipes for the game.

Tocchet also mentioned that he sought out the help of former St. Louis Blues Head Coach Craig Berube, asking him to watch the team's games and to give feedback.

"Demko goes in goal. Looking for 100th #NHL win. Interesting to hear Tocchet say he's asked former Blues coach Craig Berube to watch Canucks games and provide some feedback" Jeff Paterson said.

Berube was let go by the St. Louis Blues in late 2023 after a poor start to the season and is now available to be hired. It would be interesting to see if the Vancouver Canucks could bring him in potentially on a consulting basis for the coaching staff for the remainder of the season.

Puck drop for tonight's game, which is the first of seven games on the road trip, is set for 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET on Sportsnet Pacific.
