MAJOR | The NHL just made an exciting announcement regarding Quinn Hughes
Quinn Hughes has had an electric first half of the season, playing a big part in Vancouver's success.
If the season ended today, his case for the Norris Trophy as the league's top defenceman would be strong.
According to NHL.com writers, he's the favourite for the award by a significant margin.
Of 15 NHL writers polled, Hughes was the unanimous choice for 1st place while Cale Makar, who is tied for points with Hughes in 4 less games, scooped up almost every second place vote.
The Islanders' Noah Dobson finished in third place during his breakout campaign, while Evan Bouchard, Victor Hedman and Josh Morrissey also received votes.
If Hughes keeps up his pace, he will break 100 points for the first time in his career and shatter the Canucks single season points record for defenceman - an award held by none other than Quinn Hughes.
