Vancouver Canucks fans can rejoice in the fact that they should be able to expect Quinn Hughes and Elias Pettersson to not be out for too long as their injuries are deemed "not too serious".

«No timeline was provided by the Canucks or Rick Tocchet,» Friedman said. «The Vancouver fans are obviously very concerned. From what we're hearing, the injuries are not considered serious.»

The Vancouver Canucks hopped right back into action last night against the Seattle Kraken, and the absences of Quinn Hughes and Elias Pettersson were felt tremendously as they blew a 4-1 lead with less than 5 minutes to play.

With Vancouver Canucks fans worried about the state of the team with EP40 and Hughes not in the lineup, and the team nor head coach discussing their status in detail, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman has provided an encouraging update.
«They are not considered to be long-term injuries,» Friedman said. «Don't want to give you an exact timeline, because I'm not sure. Hopefully, that's some good news for the fans in Vancouver."

The team runs through Hughes, and not having him out long-term is the most important factor for the team making a run for the playoffs.
Hughes leads the team in scoring, netting 8 goals and 34 assists for 42 points total, and the team desperately needs him back more than ever.
