Allvin confirms the Canucks have added a Defenseman to their roster
Vancouver Canucks prospect Sawyer Mynio has landed on the roster of AHL Abbotsford after his Seattle Thunderbirds were eliminated from the WHL.
Mynio was a third round pick of the Canucks in 2023, and had a career season posting 53 points in 63 games.
The Kamloops native finished second on his team in scoring, only behind his D partner and Coquitlam native Jeremy Hanzel.
The 18 year old D could suit up for Abbotsford as they push for a final playoff spot, but it's unclear whether he will as the team now has 13 defenceman on the roster with Mynio.
Whether he plays or not, the young defender should gain valuable experience practicing with and being around a pro team.
