Disrespected: Rick Tocchet Unloads on Why Brock Boeser Had the 'A' Stripped from His Jersey

Vancouver Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet gives honest reason why veteran forward Brock Boeser is no longer wearing the "A"/alternate captain letter on his jersey.
After months of speculation about Brock Boeser being traded by the Vancouver Canucks after not being able to come to an agreement on a contract extension, Patrik Allvin has decided that he would rather let him go for free in the offseason as he did neither of the above actions.

With Captain Quinn Hughes still out with an injury and it being probable that he will not be 100% for the remainder of the season, Rick Tocchet has the option to give an extra "A" to one of his players to denote them as an assistant captain.
Elias Pettersson has worn the "A" on his jersey all season along with Tyler Myers and Brock Boeser ever since J.T. Miller was traded, but fans noticed that Boeser was no longer apart of that leadership group.
It comes at suspicious timing as Brock Boeser and the Canucks have not been on the same page when it comes to putting pen to paper on a new contract.
Many think this is the reason he was "stripped" of the letter, but head coach Rick Tocchet has made it abundantly clear that this is not the reason.
He spoke to the media following the loss to the powerhouse Dallas Stars stating that Boeser was not being disrespected, it is that he wants other players to get a turn with it on their jersey.
Tocchet: We've rotated the As. Garland and Myers have worn it. Boes has worn it a lot. Forbort could wear it. We didn't disrespect an 8 or 9 year guy here...You can ask Brock Boeser if Rick Tocchet disrespects him
Although this could be just to save face to the media, no one really knows the true reason why Boeser is not denoted as a alternate captain, but it is now causing some drama with the fan base.
