Frank Seravalli takes shots at the Canucks, the city, and its fans
The Vancouver Canucks and the Edmonton Oilers disputed what could be identified as the NHL's most spirited 2024 series.
Chaos was everywhere. Players exchanged shots on the ice and during interviews. Fans took shots at the players during games, analysts took shots at each other, and social media took off.
Certain analysts and insiders took their side when the series started and Frank Seravalli sure made his bet. The Daily Faceoff analyst and NHL Insider talked about the city of Vancouver, its fans and the team on a radio show and fired shots:
Seravalli on Edmonton radio:
There's a certain douche factor that comes with Vancouver...There's this whole we want to tell you how wealthy we are.
In Edmonton, we work here. I love that. We wear our blue jeans, we work, and we get dirty. Those are my people.

Frank Seravalli was never a fan favourite in Vancouver. Taking shots like that at the team, the city, and its fans will surely not help his popularity.
With the Oilers' fans showing their displease by fighting each other whenever their team loses, he sure has one thing right:
'In Edmonton, it's we work here. Love that. We wear our blue jeans, and we work, and we get dirty. Those are my people.''
