LATEST | Canucks issue life changing statement on one of their players
When NHL teams first employ their rookies, they come into the professional game very young, as has been the case with the BC Native Tristan Nielsen. These young men grow up to be men and experience many life-changing events.
Today, the Abbotsford Canucks announced via a statement that the 23-year-old and his partner had given birth to their first child:
Congratulations to Tristen Nielsen and his partner Sarah, who announced the birth of their beautiful baby girl, Taytum, today! 💕
Welcome to the #AbbyCanucks family! After he collected 41 points through 64 AHL games in 2022-2023, Nielsen was rewarded with an NHL deal. This season, the energetic forward collected 19 points through his first 31 games. Although he may not be getting an NHL call-up this year, his constant progression could set him up to a surprise at next year's training camp.
