Vancouver Canucks defenseman Tyler Myers has enjoyed a relatively productive season, already surpassing his 2022-2023 point total of 17 despite appearing in 20 less games in comparison thus far. He has regularly been scrutinized for his lengthy and expensive contract in which he signed back in 2019 after five seasons with the Winnipeg Jets. Myers won the Calder Trophy in 2010 as the NHL's top rookie, recording a career-best 48 points.
Myers, 34 and born in Houston, Texas, also stands at a mighty six-foot-eight and consistently punishes opponents with his massive frame. However, Seattle sports analyst Ian Burness is vocally not a fan of the stalwart defender.
