LATEST | Rick Tocchet delivers a surprising post-game interview following the Canucks disastrous third period in Minnesota
The Canucks lost their second game in a row to the Wild, after they had just given up a game to the Jets on Saturday. The Canucks' play was the worst we've had the chance to see during the third period.
For the first time since the season started, the Canucks surrendered a lead after the second and lost in regulation. Prior to this 3rd period failure, the Canucks had a 31- 0 - 2 when in the lead after 4 minutes. However, the Wild still had a touchdown in their bags and scored 7 goals to get away with a 10-7 win.
«It's stupid stick penalties. And when you play under pressure, you can't do those things.»
Tocchet not blaming the refs.
Despite the team's atrocious play and the fact that they've just began one of their few losing streak. Tocchet remained extremely composed during his post game interviews. Tocchet had quite a few post game interviews last season, during which he lost it and fired shots at some of his players. Since the season began, it's been quite the contrary for Tocchet and the confidence he's showed his quite reassuring.
In his two last post game interviews, the team's head coach often reffered to these games and results as learning experienced for his group. The Canucks will be back in action in Denver where they'll play the Avalanche. Hopefully they've learned enough to take on one of the NHL's best teams.
