LATEST | Bad news is confirmed for Andrei Kuzmenko: The Canucks made the right move?
It hasn't even been a month since the Canucks closed, possibly their most significant deal in the last year. The transaction mainly saw Andrei Kuzmenko and Elias Lindholm swapping jerseys; the jury is still out to determine who had the upper hand.
BAD NEWS FOR KUZMENKO IN CALGARY?
The Russian winger had been matched to the superstar Jonathan Huberdeau and Yegor Sharangovich on the Flames' top line. He had a fiery debut and seemed to have found his scoring touch back, but things have fallen out of hand.
Kuzmenko was relegated out of the Flames' top 9 and onto the team's fourth unit:
After scoring 39 goals in his first North American season, everybody believed Kuzmenko would be repeating his exploits. However, things went south with the Canucks, and they ultimately felt the need to move him to improve their team. Now, it seems that the Flames may have seen what Rick Tocchet saw as he's receiving a similar treatment.
