LATEST | Rick Tocchet steaming in post-game interview following lackluster performance in Boston
The Canucks were nowhere to be found when they got on the ice in Boston earlier. The Bruins walked all over the Canucks and dominated every aspect of the game.
It goes without saying that the team's head coach, Rick Tocchet, was infuriated by the effort his players displayed. Everybody knew that the team's hot streak would be coming to an end at some point, but everybody hoped that the venue hadn't been the Bruins' TD Garden.
Tocchet took the stand following the game and didn't hesitate to highlight the effort as one of the main reason the team underachieved. He did state that half the team didn't show up:
''It's our first loss in a while, if we're going to lose, I guess we're gonna throw a dog**. [] It's a learning lesson''
While he was visibly steamed by the team's performance the coach remained calm and poised. After they had been on an incredible point-stretch, a down performance had to be expected at some point.
The Canucks will have an opportunity to bounce back on Saturday when they visit the Red Wings in Detroit and the way they show up will give us a clear indication of what they're made of.
