LATEST | Former Canuck hits the trade block with an incredibly elevated price tag
The Elias Lindholm and Sean Monahan trades have teams with available centers very ready to make a trade.
One of those teams may be the Washington Capitals, as the team may dangle former Canuck Nic Dowd in trade talks.
The team likes the player, and he's spent most of his career in Washington, but the alleged price for Dowd might force the Canucks to deal him according to Frank Seravalli.
It would be a first round pick, people's heads explode when I say that but that's what the price would be for Nic Dowd,
Seravalli said.
Dowd has one year after this one at $1.3 million, and if the Capitals retain 50% he could be a valuable commodity to many teams.
It's a high price to pay, but with many teams looking to add centers, it's a seller's market.
