With just a handful of games left in the season for the Vancouver Canucks, the mathematical probability of our team making the NHL's Stanley Cup playoffs is basically confirmed to be over, but that does not mean there were not some major positives this season.
Quinn Hughes guaranteed to win team MVP for the Vancouver Canucks
Fans have the ability to vote on who they want to win, but with how the season went this year, there are not many options for them to really choose anyone else but their captain.
Although Quinn Hughes won't be taking any major league hardware this season due to suffering an injury late in the year, he will be adding some to his mantle piece for the team wards.
It will be officially announced on April 16 during the team's Fan Appreciation Night, where it is guaranteed that Hughes will win the team's Most Valuable Player (MVP).
One of the great injustices of the 2024-25 NHL season is how good Hughes has been with nothing to show for it. He's third among NHL defensemen in points despite missing 14 games and playing with a cadre of Canucks forwards who seemingly forgot how to score goals.
He carried the Canucks all season and, if not for his untimely injury, would have carried them all the way to the playoffs.- Daniel Wagner
The other only category that is basically confirmed is
Kiefer Sherwood winning the teams' most exciting player award after he absolutely demolished the single-season record for hits, where he currently sits with 431.
