In a post on their social media on Friday evening, the National Hockey League highlighted Vancouver Canucks forward Nils Hoglander for an incredible moment in the last week.

During last Saturday's game against the Calgary Flames, Hoglander scored a pair of goals to bring his season total up to 22, which is a new career-high for the young forward. One of his goals has earned himself 'Electric Goal of the Week' by the National Hockey League.

The 23-year-old winger was about to be in on a 2-on-0 with fellow Swede Elias Pettersson when the latter tapped the puck forward to him, giving Hoglander a breakaway. On the breakaway, Hoglander cradled the puck on his backhand and forehand, before a leg kick and roofing the puck past Jakob Markstrom while on his backhand to give Vancouver a 2-0 lead at the time.

It's been a breakout season for the Bocktrask, Sweden native and it's even more impressive considering all 22 of his goals have come at 5-on-5, which is tied for ninth-most in that category along with Buffalo Sabres forward JJ Peterka, Colorado Avalanche forward Mikko Rantanen and Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander.

Hoglander and the Canucks will return to action on Sunday afternoon as they host the Anaheim Ducks at Rogers Arena. Puck drop is set for 12:30 p.m. PT/3:30 p.m. ET on Sportsnet 360 and Pacific across Canada.
