As the days go by, it's appearing more and more likely that J.T. Miller's time with the Canucks will be coming to an end soon, with the forward reportedly wanting out of Vancouver.

We're just six weeks away from the National Hockey League's trade deadline for the 2024-25 season and while things have been pretty quiet recently, expect action to pick up ahead of the 4 Nations Face-Off next month.

One player that everyone has their eyes on is Vancouver Canucks forward J.T. Miller, who has been the focal point of trade rumors around the league for a number of weeks now.

Last weekend, Miller was almost traded to the New York Rangers for a reported package of Filip Chytil, a first-round pick and a prospect, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, but the deal fell through at the last minute.

The noise off the ice surrounding J.T. Miller is undoubtedly becoming a distraction for the Vancouver Canucks and it seems like it's only a matter of time before Patrik Allvin makes a move involving the East Palestine, Ohio native.

Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff dropped a bit of a bombshell on Friday morning about J.T. Miller's future with the Vancouver Canucks organization.

Forward J.T. Miller reportedly wants out of Vancouver

In his updated trade targets article, Frank Seravalli revealed that J.T. Miller has reached the point where he's wanting to move on from the Vancouver Canucks and the team's feeling is mutual on the matter.

"The Canucks seems to have reached a point where they are ready to move on from Miller. Likewise, Miller seems to have reached a point where he is ready to move on from the Canucks." Seravalli said.

It's crazy that it's even got to this point, especially when considering how important J.T. Miller has been to the Vancouver Canucks since he joined them via trade in the summer of 2019.

In 401 games as a Vancouver Canuck, the 31-year-old has 435 points (151 goals, 284 assists), 285 penalty minutes and is a plus-41.

We'll have to wait and see how things develop on this front in the coming days and weeks, but it seems like both the Canucks and J.T. Miller are hoping for a solution here pretty quickly.
