The Vancouver Canucks welcome the Montreal Canadiens to town for their lone visit to Rogers Arena and Rick Tocchet is making some big changes to the forward lines.

It was a tough night for the Vancouver Canucks on Sunday against the Western Conference powerhouse Dallas Stars and during the game, Rick Tocchet decided to cut the ice time of three of his key forward - Brock Boeser, Jake DeBrusk and Elias Pettersson.
Now, in an effort to get the offense going, which is dead-last in goals for per game since January 1st, Rick Tocchet has decided it's time to make some big changes to the forward group.

The Canucks hit the ice at Rogers Arena today for their morning skate to prepare for a big all-Canadian clash against the Montreal Canadiens there was some good news as Quinn Hughes was there, albeit in a non-contact sweater.
Once the practice got going, we got a good look at the forward group for tonight's game and there's some big changes on the way when compared to how they lined up against the Dallas Stars on Sunday.
Elias Pettersson remains in his spot as the first line center, Brock Boeser and Drew O'Connor on his wings after starting last game on the third and second lines, respectively.
Canucks fans will also be treated to the reunion of Dakota Joshua, Teddy Blueger and Conor Garland, who were one of the best third lines in the entire National Hockey League last season.
Filip Chytil, who was acquired from the New York Rangers in the J.T. Miller deal, was centering Jake DeBrusk and 2022 first-round pick Jonathan Lekkerimaki at Tuesday's morning skate.
Meanwhile on the fourth line, Rick Tocchet has gone with Nils Hoglander, Pius Suter and Kiefer Sherwood, who is getting close to the NHL hits record as he's only 37 back of Jeremy Lauzon's total from the 2023-24 campaign.
"Tuesday morning skate #Canucks lines

O'Connor. EP40. Boeser.
Joshua. Blueger. Garland.
DeBrusk. Chytil. Lekkerimäki.
Höglander. Suter. Sherwood.

D pairs rotating with Hughes (non-contact) taking part." Brendan Batchelor said on X.
Puck drop for tonight's game against the Montreal Canadiens is set for 7 pm PT and can be watched on Sportsnet Pacific in the Canucks viewing region.
