Tom Willander's agent has responded to a report from Frank Seravalli about his client signing an entry-level contract on Monday night.

Fans of Vancouver Canucks continue to wait for signing of the team's top prospect, Tom Willander, and got some good news on Monday night - well, they thought they did.
Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff reported on social media that the Vancouver Canucks and Tom Willander have agreed to terms on an entry-level contract.
"Hearing #Canucks and 2023 first round pick Tom Willander have an agreement in place on an entry-level deal that begins in the 2025-26 season.

Not entirely clear when deal will be announced, but he's turning pro.

Willander is back on campus finishing out the semester." Seravalli said on X.

A short while later, Tom Willander's agent Todd Diamond told Steve Ewen of The Province via email that Seravalli's report was false and that there is no agreement at this time between the two sides.
"Todd Diamond, who's Tom Willander's family adviser, called Frank Seravalli's report about Willander signing "totally false," via email." Ewen said on X.
Frank Seravalli then corrected himself, saying that it was premature to say there was an agreement between the two sides, but his sources are confident that a deal will get done that'll see Tom Willander's entry-level contract begin next season.
"I'd like to amend this - it was a premature to say that the two sides have an agreement in place tonight.

However, sources are very confident that this will end with an agreement that begins in 2025-26 season." Seravalli said.
One of the big sticking points in trying to get an entry-level contract done with Tom Willander has to do with Schedule 'A' bonuses, according to Rick Dhaliwal.
Whenever Tom Willander signs with the organization, it'll be a big day for the Vancouver Canucks as they'll be adding a blueliner who has the potential to not only play in their lineup at some point next season, but will be a massive part of their future.
