The Vancouver Canucks announced today that hey have made a Roster move in which they will be sending down AHL goalie prospect Ty Young to the WHL Kalamazoo Wings.

The 20-year-old netminder played last season in the WHL for the Prince George Cougars but now was hoping to get his shot in the American Hickey League. Due to the crowded nature of the crease in the AHL, the team has decided to send down young to the East Coast Hickey League to get more reps and opportunities.

The Canucks have reassigned goaltender Ty Young from the Abbottsford Canucks of the AHL to to the K-Wings.

The Young helped lead the Prince George Cougars Cougars to their best win total in franchise history last season!
