The Vancouver Canucks captain has been seen working with a popular brand well known for their incredibly tasty cookies.

As a part of the NHL's "Stay Playful" Campaign that was just released, the league got together 6 young stars to work with brands in order to send the important message for fans to make sure that hockey is a game for everyone.

«hockey is accessible, affordable, and above all, fun for kids in communities across Canada.»

The 25-year-old captain and Norris Trophy winner has paired up and signed a deal with Oreo.

As a part of the campaign, Oreo is giving away a total of $200K in grants and bursaries to deliver hockey equipment to 14 different organizations across Canada.

The brand has enlisted a group of the biggest names in hockey to help. The other players alongside Hughes in the advertisement are William Nylander, Zach Hyman, Nick Suzuki, Sarah Nurse, and Marie-Philip Poulin.

As the face of the Canucks, Hughes gave some important advice to young fans and hockey players who had the same dream as him of wanting to play in the National Hockey League on day.

«My advice would be to worry less about performance and just make sure you are enjoying playing the game every time you are on the ice. Usually when you're having fun, the results will follow.»

With organized hockey becoming more and more expensive to play, many families struggle to enroll their kids or even afford the equipment that comes along with it so it is amazing to see the NHL get involved in trying to open up the sport to all who want to play.
