Vancouver Canucks Conor Garland Honors his Captain Quinn Hughes wtih the Ultimate Gift

Just the other day Conor Garland was a game time decision as his wife was expecting their first child.

Luckily, Conor Garland as able to suit and play, even scoring in the contest for his unborn son.

After the game against the New York Rangers concluded, Garland rushed to the hospital to be there for the birth of his son.

Conor Garland Spoke to the media today to provide on update on his son was doing.

He revealed that he is basically running on fumes, as he did not get much sleep since the birth, but he made it well known that there is family from out of town helping out while he is on their current 6-game road trip.

When Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet revealed that the name of Conor Garlands son, the fans starting buzzing as the name was awfully close to that of Captain Quinn Hughes.

Garland and his wife Meghan named him Quinton, but revealed that it was not after the Canucks captain, but after a leading character in the 1975 film Jaws.

But now, the most recent news kind of confirms the baby's name must have a double meaning.

Conor Garland confirmed that Quinn Hughes has been named his sons Godfather.
