The Vancouver Canucks could be in the mix to sign a top NCAA free agent forward once the Frozen Four comes to an end on Saturday night in St. Louis, Missouri.

Fans of the Vancouver Canucks will be tuning in to the Frozen Four Semi Finals on Thursday as top defensive prospect Tom Willander, who could sign his entry-level contract in a matter of days, and Aiden Celebrini are set to take on Penn State.
As Canucks fans eagerly await Tom Willander's arrival in Vancouver, one of his teammates is set to become a free agent and could potentially join him in the professional ranks.

Western Conference teams reportedly interested in top NCAA free agent forward

In this week's edition of 32 Thoughts, Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman gave an update on one of the NCAA's top free agent forwards - Quinn Hutson, older brother of Montreal Canadiens star rookie Lane Hutson.
While he didn't name the Vancouver Canucks specifically, Elliotte Friedman is reporting that Quinn Hutson is drawing serious interest from teams in the Western Conference.
"Lane and Cole Hutson's undrafted older brother, Quinn, who will play for Boston University at the Frozen Four this week, has serious Western Conference interest." Friedman said.

Hutson, 23, went undrafted in 2020, 2021 and 2022 before joining one of the top college programs in the United States - Boston University, where he's set to make his third straight appearance at the Frozen Four.
The Barrington, Illinois native has taken a big step forward in his junior year at Boston University, registering 50 points (23 goals, 27 assists), 31 penalty minutes and is a plus-20 in 36 games.
If the Vancouver Canucks were to get a deal done with Quinn Hutson, assuming they're in the mix, he would bring plenty of offensive talent to the team's prospect pool and while it's not guaranteed that he'd become an NHLer, he would be a solid top-six option in Abbotsford.
