Vancouver Canucks prospect Anthony Romani has showed up in a big way during the 2025 Ontario Hockey League Playoffs and is playing a significant role for his club in Barrie.

The Vancouver Canucks made a big splash at the 2024 National Hockey League Entry Draft when they used to a sixth-round pick to select forward Anthony Romani, who led the OHL in goals during the 2023-24 campaign with 58 in 68 games.
Romani had a tough start to his fourth OHL season due to an injury and was traded by the North Bay Battalion to the Barrie Colts in early January joining fellow Vancouver Canucks prospect Riley Patterson.

Anthony Romani extends point streak in OHL Playoffs

Since joining the Barrie Colts, Romani has been nothing short of solid, registering 30 points (19 goals, 11 assists) in 29 games, helping lead the club to their first Central Division title since 2018.
Romani's playoff run began in late March as the Colts faced the Niagara IceDogs in round 1, dispatching them in five games before facing a tough Kingston Frontenacs team, led by former Montreal Canadiens prospect Cedrick Guindon.
Barrie and Kingston's series would need seven games, with Anthony Romani's squad coming out on top and advancing to their first Eastern Conference Final in nine years.
However, Barrie has had rough go through the first two games of the Eastern Conference Final against the Oshawa Generals losing both contests by a combined score of 10 to 2.
With Barrie just two games away from elimination, they're going to need to rely on Anthony Romani heavily on the road in Oshawa to help get them back in this series.
All playoffs long, Anthony Romani has been at the top of his game for the Colts and with an assist on Owen Van Steensel's power play marker in Game 2 last night, he extended his points streak to 14 games - 20 points (10 goals, 10 assists).
Anthony Romani, Riley Patterson and the Barrie Colts will be back in action on Tuesday night for Game 3 of their Eastern Conference Final series as they look to avoid going down 3-0. Puck drop is set for 4 pm PT and fans can tune in on watch.CHL.ca, subscription required.
