Tocchet announced that Johsua is progressing well and will be joining the Canucks on their first road trip of the season as they head over to Tampa Bay on October 15th to play against the Lightning.
Reported by The Canucks Way , the road trip includes four games, the first of which starts off in Tampa, and will conclude on Oct. 22 when they face off against Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks.
The most positive news is that everything went well in his surgery, but Rick Tochett did also say that Joshua is expected to start skating with the team sooner rather than later. Even though there it is not exact details, it at at least represents a good direction moving forward, considering what he has been dealing with.
Joshua rewarded with a 4-year, $13 million contact extension during this offseason., and given the whirlwind of emotions since his diagnosis, the Canucks and die hard fans will support and wait patiently for his much anticipated return.
Due to the nature of his absence, you can best believe that he will be receiving a loud and warm welcome when he laces them up for his first game in 2024-2025.
