Stutzle with an incredible effort to clinch Ottawa win, but we await word on Barkovwho needed help off the ice after going in feet-first. Hopefully, not serious.

With 1:10 left on the clock in the 3rd period with their goalie pulled, Aleksander Barkov took a shot from the blue line that broke his stick in which resulted in an ensuing race for the puck down the ice. Tim Stutzle was able to get the advantage and tap the puck in but simultaneously, the two players got tied up and crashed into the boards, Stutzle was fine, Barkov was not.

In the video provided by Sportsnet, you can see Barkov immediately start wincing in pain as he went feet first barreling into the boards. The concern started to grow in the arena as it took Barkov over a minute to collect himself and get up. Unfortunately, the injury may be severe as he needs both Evan Rodrigues and Uvis Balinskis to get him off the ice.

There is still no update on the extent of the injury.
