A fan threw their jersey onto the ice after Vancouver's loss to the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night.

After a three-game road trip in California, the Vancouver Canucks returned to Rogers Arena on Saturday night to take on a familiar face - Vasily Podkolzin and the Edmonton Oilers.

The game was fairly even through the first 40 minutes of play, but the Edmonton Oilers took control in the final frame. Thanks to goals from Connor Brown (x2), Connor McDavid and Brett Kulak in the third period, the Oilers went on to win the game by a score of 7 to 3.

After the final buzzer, a Vancouver Canucks fan wasn't too pleased with their team's effort during Saturday's loss and threw their jersey onto the ice, which was noticed by others. X user @Linaset shared a video of the uniform being picked up by a member of the ice crew not long after it was thrown.

It's understandable to be frustrated with last night's performance. I'm sure Rick Tocchet and every single player in the Canucks' dress room were also frustrated, but that fan needs to take a deep breath and relax a bit.

It's November 10th, the Vancouver Canucks sit third in the Pacific Division with a 7-3-3 record. Prior to Saturday's loss, the team swept their California road trip, winning all three games. There's nothing to panic about whatsoever. Every team has their bad games and for the Canucks last night, they didn't play that bad until the third period when things unraveled.

There's reinforcements on the way for Vancouver that would help mitigate a period like the Canucks had last night. While Kevin Lankinen has been solid all season so far, that third period was rough and he'll be the first to admit that.

Eventually, Thatcher Demko will be back and he performs quite well in high pressure situations and when the team needs him the most. Another player that'll be back soon is Dakota Joshua, who plays a key shutdown role on the team's third line.

Patience is needed from whoever threw their jersey onto the ice last night. The Canucks have a winning record and are in a playoff spot right now. There's nothing to worry about.
