Vancouver Police investigating after Canucks jerseys were burned
Vancouver Police have launched an investigation after custom Canucks jerseys were burned in the city earlier this week.
According to Vancouver Police, custom Canucks jerseys that were placed on the Laughing Men statues at English Bay were burned overnight on Tuesday and they're looking for information into who did this and if there are any witnesses.
"This is disappointing to see, especially when everyone is coming together to cheer on the Canucks and enjoy a positive playoff run." Sgt. Steve Addison said.
The jerseys were placed on the Laughing Men statues earlier this month to mark the Vancouver Canucks' run in the Stanley Cup Playoffs and people noticed on Wednesday morning that they were burned and notified the authorities.
CTV News were told by Vancouver Fire that they were not called to the scene regarding the fire and that they were dealing with double the amount of fire-related calls in the previous 24 hours.
Hopefully Vancouver Police will be able to identify who the suspect or suspects were in this case and that they're punished accordingly.
