BREAKING | The worst is confirmed for the Hurricanes as they lose one of their top player
In the midst of a race for a playoff spot and on the verge of a Cup run, the Hurricanes were once again dealt a terrible hand.
Their star forward Andrei Svechnikov will be out for the remainder of the calendar since he needs a season-ending surgery on his knee.
He's actually the second Hurricane forward to have a season ending injury, Max Paccioretty had already been sidelined. The Canes currently hold the top seed in the Metropolitan Division, now that they've lost a major piece it'll be interesting to see how they manage the void left in their line-up.
