The Buffalo Sabres were in Florida's FLA Live Arena on Friday night to face-off against the Panthers. The Sabres are currently battling for a playoff spot and have been playing good hockey of late.
However, the Sabres owe their goaltender Craig Anderson a steak and lobster dinner after this one. The 41-year-old made history on Friday night becoming the oldest goaltender in NHL history to stop more then 50 shots in a game!
Anderson was brilliant making 53 saves on 54 shots in backstopping the Sabres to a huge 3-1 win on the road. Anderson would also try to get involved in a scrum at the end of the game when, Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk would go after Sabres Dylan Cozens for trying to get a empty net buzzer beater.
This was one of the best games of Anderson's career, it's awesome to see Anderson doing well he's such a positive player and well respected around the l!eague.
