Connor Bedard in Vancouver? Crazy trade proposal involving three teams and a dozen of assets
The answer we had been waiting for finally came on Monday when it was revealed that the Chicago Blackhawks had won the Connor Bedard lottery.
Since Vancouver couldn't win the lottery and most people wanted to reunite the North-Vancouver native to his favorite team, trade proposals have been drawn up to make it happen. This one is particularly absurd as it involves 3 teams and tons of assets:
TO CHICAGO
- Anthony Beauvilier
- Nils Hoglander
- Samuel Poulin
- Aatu Raty
- Joni Jurmo
- 2023 1st Round VAN (11th)
- 2023 1st Round PIT (14th)
- 2024 1st Round VAN
- 2025 1st Round VAN
TO PITTSBURGH
- J.T. Miller
TO VANCOUVER
- 2023 1st Round CHI (Connor Bedard)
- Mikael Granlund
The Canucks would end up trading 2 established NHLers and an extremely dominant one at that, 3 high end prospects, and their next 3 first round selections to acquire Connor Bedard.
To think that someone even considered that to be a respectable move for the Canucks should stop playing Ea Sports NHL for a bit.
