The Canucks are at the starting point of their retooling; as the team's newest management walks into their second draft, they'll need to score big in order to set the pace for the years to come.

The 2023 Draft Class is expected to have many elite-level prospects, and Patrik Allvin is in a must-win situation. Chris Faber, from Canucks Army, is well-known for his coverage of the Canucks' prospects and now he dove into who might be home run swings at each of the Canucks talking ranks:

1st - 11 OA : Oliver Moore

The speedy US born centerman has already been highlighted as a candidate for the Canucks. The belief around is that he may have been shadowed by Will Smith and he could definitely be a home run, much like Trevor Zegras was when he played behind Jack Hughes.

3rd - 75th OA: Carter Sotheran
A big Manitoba-born right handed shot dman. The 6'03'' defenseman is projected to be a dominant shutdown defender. He could add the kind of toughness the Canucks are looking for moving forward:

3rd - 89th OA: Anton Wahlberg

Craig Button identified him as possibly the draft's steal, already stands at 6'03'', the Swede centerman is filled with potential. A player with a wicked shot, some scouts and prospect analyst even have him listed as a 1st Round Prospect:

The Canucks are in a can't miss situation and they'll need their scouts to come up big. Centermen and defensemen are a rarity down their pipeline. Looking back, do you believe these are the right picks for the Canucks?
