Since the extension talks have been cold with team captain Bo Horvat, every Stanley Cup contending will do their due diligence regarding the centerman's cost.
According to Vegas Insider, Owen Krepps of Vegas Hockey Now, the Knights want to add depth to their lineup and he's listed Bo Horvat as one of their target. Even though the Knights have limited cap space, if the Canucks retained 50% of Horvat's $5.5M AAV is totally manageable for Vegas.
The insider suggests that the Canucks take a contract like Laurent Brossoit or Brett Howden to make up for the remainder. It's known around the league that the Canucks are looking for an NHL ready right handed defenseman and centerman to make it happen. Along with Brossoit or Howden, he adds that the Knights would give Kaedan Korczak and a 1st and 2nd round pick in the 2023 Draft.
The Knights are a team that will definitely aim a steep Stanley Cup run and adding Horvat would give them a push in the right direction for sure. Though, is what they're offering enough?
