LATEST | Canucks top forward prospect running hot in the playoffs
The Canucks made an intriguing selection in the 2022 Draft when they picked one of the draft's top offensive forward, Jonathan Lekkerimaki.
The regular season had not been going as hoped for the winger as his point production was deceiving and he ended the regular season sidelined with a broken foot.
However, a fast recovery made him available to help his team in the Hockey Allsvenkan playoff race and since coming back, he's been a true difference-maker. The winger scored yet another goal on the man advantage to help his team reach their cup ambitions:
He now counts 8 points in 10 outings and is only one point short of tying his season total as he managed 9 points through 29 games. This surely comes off as great news for the Swede, some had been calling out the Canucks' management for a poor draft selection. Lekkerimaki really stepped it up when it mattered most and it shows what he's made of.
