LATEST | Former second-round pick putting an end to his NHL career
It's the time of the year when the European signing takes place. The Canucks were struck with one just a few days back when Vitaly Kravtsov announced a deal sending him back home to the KHL.
The news just broke that the Arizona Coyotes' 2nd Round Selection in 2013 (39th) had chosen to turn the page on a North-American career as he's headed to Switzerland.
After a stellar Junior career with the QMJHL Chicoutimi Sagueneens, Dauphin never really settled into the NHL and could only manage to produce at the AHL level. He spent a few years in Arizona before he was dealt to the Nashville Predators organization, who then traded him to the Montreal Canadiens. Prior to this season, he found his way back to Arizona when he signed a two-way deal with the Coyotes as a free agent.
Dauphin will have played 97 NHL games collecting 17 points along the way. His North-American professional career will mainly be remembered for the 221 points he collected in the AHL in 364 outings.
