The NHL trade deadline is still around three weeks away, but apparently, some team's general managers haven't got the memo as they've already made some big trades ahead of March 3rd's deadline day.

The Canucks moved their captain Bo Horvat to the New York Islanders and earlier this week the St. Louis Blues moved Vladimir Tarasenko to the New York Rangers.

The Vancouver Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin is expected to be fairly busy selling off as many players as possible for picks and prospects to retool this organization. One interesting trade that could possibly happen was brought up by Sportsnet's hockey insider Jeff Marek.

Marek revealed the New York Islanders who already acquired Horvat just before the NHL All-Star game, might be looking at making another deal with the Canucks to bring forward Brock Boeser to the Islanders to reunite with Horvat.

Brock Boeser has indicated his will to get out of Vancouver. With the recent coaching not only his opportunity increased but his input did just as much. He recently spent some time with Pettersson and the two have been very successful when matched with Beauvillier.

If Lou Lamoriello is able to pull off a trade for Boeser would be huge for the Islanders, but hopefully, also fetch us a nice return in Vancouver.
