LATEST | Larkin's reveals his asking price its paving the way for Horvat
If the free agent market was to open today, big names would be making a lot of teams envious. Dylan Larkin is set to be one of them.
The contractual talks between him and the Detroit Red Wings have not gone as both parties had hoped for.
Another name that would gather a lot of attention if it gets there, is obviously Canucks' captain
Bo Horvat. Where it gets interesting is that the two are set to be the top two-way centerman hitting the market.
Though Larkin is a year younger, they have similar point-per-game averages. It's been revealed that he's chasing a $9M AAV for the next 8 years.
Horvat and Larkin are bringing similar things to their games, if Larkin were to ink a deal even remotely close to that $9M AAV it would definitely set a high market for Horvat moving forward.
$72M is an enormous amount of money, question is, is either one of these centermen really worth that much?
