LATEST | Massive extension for a Capitals centerman
It's just in, the Capitals have inked one of their young centermen to a new deal.
Dylan Strome who joined the Capitals this summer as a free agent bloomed into the player he was meant to be when the Coyotes drafted him third Overall in 2015.
They've agreed to terms on a $5M AAV for the next 5 years, totaling $25M.
Strome joined the Caps as a free agent this summer when he signed a one-year deal worth $3.5M. Since then he's registered 36 points in 52 games.
Strome had issues earlier in his career with consistency and he appears to have found a great fit for himself in Washington.
